Forming processing Details

Metal pressure forming processing uses the plastic deformation of metal under the action of external force to obtain raw materials, blanks or parts with a certain shape, size and mechanical properties. It is called metal forming processing, also known as metal plastic processing.
Forging: mainly includes two basic methods for manufacturing various parts or profiles.
(1) Free forging (referred to as free forging)-the process of deforming the heated metal blank between the upper and lower anvils under impact force (free forging hammer) or pressure (press), which is used to manufacture relatively simple parts in various shapes.
(2) Model forging (referred to as die forging)-the heated metal blank is deformed by impact force (free forging hammer) or pressure (press) between the forging dies that have been pre-made into the cavity, and becomes a part blank consistent with the cavity shape, which is used to manufacture parts with more complex shapes.
2. Rolling: The process of rolling a metal blank through the gap between a pair of rotating rolls, including cold rolling (the metal blank is not heated) and hot rolling (the metal blank is heated), which are used to manufacture plates, bars, profiles, pipes, etc.
3. Extrusion: The process of extruding metal blanks placed in the cavity of the mold from the die hole to form parts, including cold extrusion and hot extrusion, which are mostly used for parts with thin wall thickness and the manufacture of seamless pipes.
4. Stamping: the process of forming the metal slab by impact force or pressure in the die, which is also divided into cold stamping and hot stamping.
5. Drawing: The process of drawing the metal blank through the die hole to reduce its cross-section, which is used to manufacture wires, small-diameter thin-walled pipes, etc., and is also divided into cold drawing and hot drawing.
